I have been a mortgage and protection adviser since 2001 having previously worked in Barclays, and Kent Mortgage Centre. I set up as a sole trader in July 2007 as Christopher Lawton, in 2009 I became Christopher Lawton T/S Lawton Financial Services, in 2011 went limited.
My particular areas of interest are mortgages and insurance and am particularly good at helping self-employed clients onto the property ladder.
My client base is very diverse ranging from young professionals just starting their financial journey to much older clients completing theirs.
I believe the key to being a good adviser is having a reasonable level of technical knowledge but more importantly the ability to listen and connect with what really matters to clients.
My spare time tends to revolve around my family. I enjoy a wide range of sports including playing football, cycling, golf, and clay pigeon shooting.
